Privacy Policy

We prioritise minimal, practical data collection
1) Who we are
Ledgr is simple invoicing software for New Zealand freelancers and small businesses (“the Service”). This policy explains how we handle your information.
2) Data we process
- Account data — name, email, and authentication metadata.
- App data — invoices, clients, items, settings, and activity you choose to create in the Service.
- Support data — messages you send us (e.g., via email).
- Technical data — basic logs for reliability and security (e.g., IP, device/browser info).
3) Where data is stored
We use Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore/Database, and related Google Cloud services) to host the Service. Data may be processed on servers outside of New Zealand, depending on our provider’s infrastructure.
4) How we use data
- To provide core functionality (sign-in, save invoices/clients/items, email sending).
- To operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service.
- To communicate about the Service (e.g., updates or support replies).
5) Emailing invoices
If you send an invoice by email from the app, the invoice PDF and related details you choose to include will be transmitted to recipients. Avoid including sensitive data you do not wish to share.
6) Cookies & analytics
Core app features do not require marketing cookies. If we add privacy-respecting analytics to the marketing site, it will be aggregated and non-identifying; this page will be updated accordingly.
7) Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with service providers (e.g., Google Firebase, email providers) strictly to operate the Service, or when required by law.
8) Data retention
Account and app data are retained while your account is active. You can delete content in the app. We may retain limited records where required for security, fraud prevention, or legal obligations.
9) Security
We use reputable cloud infrastructure (Firebase) and follow reasonable technical and organisational measures. No online system is perfectly secure—please keep your device and account credentials safe.
10) Your rights
Subject to local law, you may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information. Contact us at [email protected].
11) Children
The Service is intended for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
12) Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change and material changes will be highlighted where practical.
